Viscose jersey is a fabric that ideally displays the characteristic properties of knitwear - breathability and elasticity, which is further boosted by the elastane admixture found in the knitwear. We must not forget the top qualities of viscose, which are also found in viscose jersey. Viscose has properties similar to those of cotton, but is of better quality, resulting in higher prices for the material itself, as well as for garments made from it. As well as being allergy-friendly, it provides excellent airflow, allowing the skin to breathe, which reduces perspiration - in addition to absorbing moisture well, which further neutralizes the feeling of sweating. With that said, viscose itself feels cooler and more slippery to the touch, thus resembling silk, and does not have some disadvantages of cotton, as viscose does not crease.
