Find the knit fabric you're looking for
Are you looking for a viscose knit that works well for sewing any type of garment? You've come to the perfect place, because you'll find exactly that in the Cotton Stories knitwear shop. One versatile fabric is single jersey viscose with added elastane. Its wide range of colours makes you want to use it for just about anything!
SINGLE JERSEY VISCOSE WITH ELASTAN 245g is a material created by processing cellulose derived from coniferous trees. It is characterised by its soft and slightly slippery texture. Viscose is a highly hygroscopic fabric and is therefore airy, making it suitable for warm summer days, but also for spring.
The addition of elastane increases both the fabric's strength and stretch, i.e. its ability to return to its previous shape. Its use reduces the weight of the fabric, as well as achieving a soft-touch product. It has been produced with the vast majority of natural vegetable yarns. The combination shown is safe for allergy sufferers.

Washing the fabric - what is worth knowing?
SINGLE JERSEY WITH ELASTAN 245g requires low temperature washing, a maximum of 40 degrees is recommended, so it is best washed by hand. Do not use programmes with spinning that would cause excessive friction to the fabric, otherwise the fabric may shrink or stretch excessively. Gentle washing liquids should be used, avoiding powders that may dull the colours. The fabric should also not be bleached, tumble-dried or dry-cleaned. On the other hand, it can be ironed freely at temperatures up to 110 degrees; exceeding this may cause undesirable changes.
